hi need help lowering

Default hi need help lowering

hi all iv just bought a 1999 s reg audi a4 se b5 1.8 (non turbo) and it seems to sit a bit high on the wheels just bin thinking of sticking sum 18" alloys on it to replace the stock 16" but im worryed it will look silly and to high...

any ideas guys

Generally, you'd have to lower the car to prevent looking like a 4X4.

Although the car should sit close to the same height as stock if you get the right size tires.

i'd lower it about 1.5 in or so. it'll sit right above the tires of the 18s. idk what they offer where you live but judging from the engine configuration you have you're not in the US. i'd pm Siena or docurley. they are in europe and can help you more i think

Generally the best way to go is to lower the car first and then add some rims after that. If you want your speedo to stay accurate, you should try to end up with the same outside diameter of the tire. So this is a way that I always remember figuring out the dimensions.

16/55 series
17/45 series
18/35 series
19/30 series, but would still be bigger than desired.
