KO4's on stock injector/IC...
Hey all, ive had the APR 93 octane chip for a couple months now and am pretty happy with it. I upgraded my DV's and did a timing belt and have found a shop that can install KO4's for me. With winter coming (toronto, canada) I figure I dont have to upgrade my intercoolers till spring and I can afford the KO4's with the piping and oil lines. So I want to swap that with stock injectors and/or buy new ones (not sure on size yet??) My goal is 420+hp, can I get there?
Try to do it all at once. Or else you end up paying for stuff twice.
IC's are super easy with the engine out, and you should also do DP's & exhasut.
DP's are much easier with the engine out.
I'd bet you will save over $1000 in labor, that you can put into a fueling kit.
Are you looking for 420whp? It's going to cost you a lot no matter how you do it.
yes, you need more then just K04's to get there, a lot more.

HAHA nono i would be happy with 420flywheel. Well the intercoolers can be done easily with the bumper off, ive had to swap the left side before. But with that being said I wanted to wait and do a samco hose kit along with intercoolers in the spring, temps these days will be hovering below 40degrees (and eventually much much colder) so I dont kno if intercoolers are necessary till the temp rises. Ive heard the turbos arent too hard to install even with the motor in the car, I was quoted $300 for the install of them and new turbo lines. The downpipes is where it gets tricky, I dont have 1500 to blow on the ones from apr or milltek. I think I would rather have a mandrel bender do it for me and weld in some highflow cats. As for fueling mods what else is needed besides injectors? There is an injector and spacer kit so they will fit on the stock fuel rail (ecstuning). Is there anything else needed fuel wise to run lets say 20-23psi?

The turbo's are very hard to install with the engine in the car! I paid more then $300 to get my DP's installed, so if you have a shop wanting to do it
$300, get it in writing, and DO IT NOW! Do the DP's at the same time, since you have to remove the DP to do the turbo.
If you are strapped for $$ do piggie pipes, this relocates the o2's & guts the pre cats, they flow a lot more then stock pipe. This should not cost more
then a couple of hours of labor.
With bigger injectors you need a way to control them, so programing that matched the injector size. So injector, spacers, chip, usually MAF.
You can't build a high HP car and be cheap about it, you will be upset at the outcome, with poor running, low up, and then having to spend all the
money & time again to do it right.

Im not one to cut corners so I couldnt agree with you more. I am willing to invest the money into the right components. I already have my car chipped from APR, once I get the mods can I send it back to them and will they give me stg. 3 programming in accordance with my mods? Will I have to find someone else to do it? the piggie pipes sounds like a good idea, I kno a guy who does mandrel bending so Ill ask him. Thanks for answering all the questions!

If you want APR, just get their whole STG III kit, it will be easier then piecing it on your own.
Yup, i agree with 2K, turbos can be installed with the motor in, but plan on dropping the cradle and cussing a whole hell of a lot. oh and dont forget the superglue and electrical tape to put your hands back together. get that quote in writing and get it done.
