Default My buddies jeep heater

My friend has a jeep grand cherokee and when he turns his heater on he gets hot air on the drivers side and cold air from the passenger side. He says both sides blow, so the fans are working. but the passenger side blow cold air, not sorta warm air, cold air. does anyone have a clue what this might be?

Since when do we field questions about Jeep Grand Cherokees???????

Tell him to go get an Audi and then he will have more important things to worry about than the heater vents (like CELs).

There is usually a little dial next to the vent. This could control whether it pulls air from the heater vents or from the outside air. Just a guess, but always start with the things that are easy to try.

When he turns the heat to full blast, is the same amount of air coming out of both vents?

He sez he gets the same amount of air out of both vents, and that it's a drastic temp difference.

Maybe I shouldn't help him so he will buy an Audi instead

I'll see if i can get somemore info out of him about it.

my guess is to check the heater core but it would probably be a pain to check.
