Default SA FUEL INJECTORS-OPTIONS

So my mechanic says my Injectors are going out. Audi has them for about $105 each. What are my other options? Could I run larger injectors at a lower dutty cycle? Any and all help will be appreciated.... Hector

?? More info, like WHAT CAR?

Injectors usually don't "go out" More then likely, they are dirty, or you have low
fuel pressure, due to a bad FPR, or fuel pump, even a dirty fuel filter.

No, you can't really put in bigger ones, unless you get the ECU custom tuned for the
injectors. $$$

2000 S4 BITURBO M6- Your right they are clogged...And the reason for wanting bigger injectors was for future upgrades (chip, exhaust, intake and some nitrous). The fule filter was changed and the pump is with in spec. pressure. Yeah I was wondering if I would have to tune the ECU I guess i'm going stock till the upgrades... Thanx 2kS4.....

You know you can get them cleaned & flowed for about $20 per injector?

Also if they are just dirty, run some good FI cleaner threw the system a few times.
Try Amsoil power shot, or Redline SL-1.

Even Seafoam can help out.

You don't need bigger injectors until you have a nicely built up STGIII.
I'd stay away from nitrous.

Thanks guys I will look into getting them cleaned.... What is so bad about nitrous? I've heard that if you spray before the turbos it cools them down nicely...

The n20 would cool the turbos, but spraying that early in the intake will lead to uneven distribution of nitrous among the cylinders. I'd spray direct port into the intake runners and that way you don't load certain cylinders more than the others. I had that setup on my m3 and never had a problem with a 150 shot. I'm also thinking of it on my s4 but much lower dosage... maybe a 50-100 shot to spool the bigger turbos.
