Are there service records available? Maintenance is very necessary. Coolant(Audi specific), Power Steering fluid (audi specific)
Break fluid (DOT4) NGK plugs, Bremi wires, Synthetic oil, Mann/Mahle filters. I have 90K miles on mine with no major issues.
Timing belt should have been done at 85-90k miles.

Tie rods, control arms.

I have a 96 A6 avant and it runs great.

Tie rods, control arms.
Is this the model with the aluminum control arms?
Also how's the tranny on these models? bulletproof? problematic?

Thanks
