Hello everyone I am new here. I just bought a used 2000 tt quatro. I found out that my coolant is low and wanted to add more. Well i know the tt only takes g12 coolant. My question is that in the manual it says to only use g012 a8d coolant. Well I got some coolant from my friend who owns a VW and his coolant is g012 a8fa4. I was wondering if i can use that coolant in my tt with no problems. thanks for any help anyone can give

 

Call your dealer, you can use other coolants, there is a new one on the market now, can't remember the name, that is universal with any vehical. I had my thermostat stick closed in my 01 A8l and called the dealer when it started to overheat and they said the universal one would be fine. When I had the thermostat replaced I took the car to the VW dealer, Audi dealer is 79 miles away, and I am sure they used a VW coolent with a defferent # than the Audi manual says. No problems though.
