Hi,

I need 16" wheels for snow tires on my C5-model S6 Avant, but even the dealer couldn't tell me which ones fit. I want original Audi wheels, not after-market ones. I know the 6-spoke 8Jx16H2 ET35 (4B3 601 025 L) and 7Jx16H2 ET32 (4B3 601 025 K) were originally offered as options, so they must fit. How about newer ones like the 7-spoke 7Jx16H2 ET42 Avus wheels of the S4 Cabrio (8H0 601 025 E) or the 9-spoke 7Jx16H2 ET42 wheels for A4 B7 (8E0 601 205 AE)? What other 16" Audi wheels do you guys have on an S6?

Are you sure they fit the S6? I can see 16's on a A6, but not the S, the brakes are to big.
Tirerack doesn't show any 16in wheels. Only 17+

 

No, I'm not sure, but I was under the impression that the S6 shares its brakes with the 4.2L V8 A6. At least the Audi parts catalog for model year 2000 shows the same wheel options for all the 8-cylinder A6/S6 models. That's where I got those two original 16" wheels from. I'm also pretty sure I've seen photos of S6 with the 4B3 601 025 K that was offered in the Audi winter pack.

Thanks. I was just wondering whether anyone might have personal experience on the matter. Beyond these two wheel models, trial and error seems to be the only way. I'll post the results here if I get any candidate wheels to try on the car, but I just might go with the 4B3 601 025 K. It's quite good looking and I just found a set on eBay.
