Default Removing Front Rotors 2.7T

I have a 2000 2.7T and I need to replace the pads and rotors. I found a guide to replace the front pads and they were simple to take out. However the rotor was a different story. I figured it would come right off. How do I get the caliper off to get the rotor off. Any suggestions...i think I have an idea but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Remove item 6 ( two bolts) This will remove the caliper mounting bracket. Then you can take off the rotor

It will be pretty clear which bolts they are. And if I remember correctly, it's a 7mm hex key.

Edit: Ooops, thought we were talking about rear rotors. My comments do not apply to front.
