Engine bay rattle on deceleration / bumps?
I have this wierd engine bay noise. It sounds like a rattle, and it happens on deceleration most often going from 1500RPMs down to 800 RPMs. It happens in every gear, but more easily noticed in lower gears, but always in that RPM bracket. It is compounded by bumps - meaning when I hit a bump, I hear what sounds like the same part rattling.
I have tried looking inside the bay, and it sounds like it is coming from drivers side, behind engine, but I could be wrong.
I stock 225 exhaust on a 180Q that was already installed when I got the car a month ago.

Could be the dogbone engine mount. When the bushings are shot, it will allow the engine to move around a lot. And if the bushings are falling apart, there are two metal components to the mount that would likely cause the rattle.
very easy to replace you will needto jack the car up and its only 3 bolts to remove.(if i remember) order the kit from ecstuning.com as it comes with the stretch bolts that need to be replaced.
can i tell by visual inspection if the bushings are shot on the dogbone? I am just getting sick of replacing parts already. lol. I just want to make sure what is being replaced, needs to be replaced.
After 5 years and 60K miles mine was shot. You might be able to get a look at the little bit of the bushing exposed around the metal pieces. When I pulled mine apart it fell apart into 3 pieces. The bushing is made out of rubber and the heat and aging cause it to crumble.
