I have two Yakima cargo boxes that were on my Toyota Land Cruiser but I just bought a Q7 and want to keep the boxes as they are relatively new. Im thinking that I will have to get the audi crossbars but does anyone have any solutions to getting my Yakima boxes to work with the Audi system? I went to surco's website and supposedly they have a fitment kit that fits on the factory rails, so i wouldn't have to buy audi crossbars (i'd have to get surco ones, obviously) but I'm nto sure how sturdy this would be and if my yakima boxes will for the surco bars. Has anyone ever used surco stuff? thanks.

 

No experience with the Surco rack systems. i'm really surprised that Surco has come out with a rack system before yakima racks and thule racks. I noticed that the surco fit guide allowed a 2006 selection only, which seems like a glitch should be 2007 right? I'd double check with surco to be sure this isn't some kind of hiccup in their fit guide.
