Does anyone out there have a supercharger on their car and can give me info on real world performance, drivability and durability. The PES unit looks nice but have yet to meet someone who has one.

Never heard of any long time problems or reliability issues. Go for it man! apg96 03-19-2005, 05:32 AM go here (http://www.europeanspeed.com/auditech.htm) and then scroll down to the supercharger and read all about it. HERPTILE 09-17-2005, 05:57 AM stock 2.8's are slow/sluggish...the PES supercharger gives it the power you want/need without any hassle. It drives like it was a upgrade option from Audi...no problems what so ever, and this isnt just my experience. I know this is an old thread but no one seems to know about the PES G2's here goto http://superchargedaudi.com/sc/ for the answer to all your supercharging questions gkb 01-01-2008, 08:46 PM ^^^ i see info on 4.2 and 3.0l from the pes website but nothing about the 2.8 gkb 01-01-2008, 08:55 PM This might help http://www.superchargersonline.com/product_detail.asp?partnumber=PES-2830VSC&tabactive=3 driftking8732 01-02-2008, 07:45 PM the only problem i see is the part where you have to empty your wallet to get one murph2255 02-04-2008, 09:16 PM I have one on my 2001 A4. I have over 60,000 miles on the supercharger and have had 0 problems. I drive extensivly for work and have driven the car on 10 hour drives with no problems. Always starts right up in any temperatures -30 to 120. The kit is easy to install and takes about 6 hours. There 1s a little bit of blower whine..and if you get on it people look at you funny...sounds like a small jet. If you are considering buying one wait untill the winter, around christmass PES always puts it on sale, about 800.00 off. My only recommendation is getting an extra belt with the kit if it breaks its not an easy belt to get. I have hit about 130mph and the car pulls all the way thru. If you have any questions feel free to ask. gkb 02-23-2008, 10:02 PM ^^^^ about how much hp does it put out now with the supercharger? is the increase very noticeable? and whats the 0-60? Sicknasty 03-04-2008, 09:29 PM ORIGINAL: gkb ^^^^ about how much hp does it put out now with the supercharger? is the increase very noticeable? and whats the 0-60? +1 whocaresdk 03-12-2008, 10:36 PM yeah i would really like to know some times for one of these too. Did you do anything else to your engine to handle the extra power or was it fine? If i was to get it do the 2.8ls have forged pistons or should i get new ones. I just dont feel like having my engine blow on me. roll4ever 03-17-2008, 10:35 PM what amount of miles on your engine is to many if you throw in a super charger ImTheDevil 05-07-2008, 09:55 PM I don't know the times, but people have said that it'll put you up around 300hp or so, which is enough to take out a stock S4 (maybe one with intake or exhaust too - if the S4 is chipped though, blower or not, you're dead). As for issues, I've read about problems when people switch from the drive pulley that comes with the kit, over to the 2.9" higher-boost pulley. Apparently this mod requires beefing up the engine. Keep the pulley that comes with the kit, and you're good to go. Stran0905 03-14-2010, 11:34 PM here is my 98 audi a4 2.8 Supercharged / Nitrous let me know wat u think.
