Default '01 A4 Avant 1.8t maybe?

I've got no pixerz!!

Yeah, I've reada couple thousand threads like this while browsing the forum but thought I'd post my own "how much should I pay for this car" thread.

'01 A4 Avant
Heated manual front seats
grey cloth interior
5-speed
80k miles
stock 18s, suspension
no tint
Normal features elsewhere with the moonroof and power windows/doors and all of that, so the more I think about it, it's a base model with AWD. The clutch felt immaculate, so I'm guessing it's been replaced

This is one of two manuals in town. I think I've seen 20 autos, which I don't want, at all.
The lot this is on wants $14,200 for it, so I was thinking I could walk out the door for $12000 with new shocks thrown on for free.

As far as pricing goes, this A4 is the lowest price I've found in town, auto or stick, for an '01. Is it still too much?

Haha, jk. Avant FTW! The cloth seats are actually pretty comfortable, as long as they are clean and without the lovely odors that tend to linger in them. I'd totally try to talk them down, though.

They are comfy and clean, and I kinda don't like getting stuck to leather seats in the summer.

What do you think's reasonable off a lot?

Ah! I forgot to ask something else!
About the bolts that hold the downpipe to the exhaust manifold on the flange, is the one that's easily visible supposed to looked fucked up, like the nut it's attached to is cut in half?
I think when someone replaced the clutch, they had the downpipe off to drop the tranny and couldn't get the bolt backin, so they drilled out the hole and stuck a larger bolt in (which is shiny...). Does this sound like it could be the case?
