Default Hypothetical question: B5 S4 tuned (APR Stage III or comparable) vs new BMW 335?

Curious what you all think. The tuned S4 is going to make around 447 hp (I think APR's figures are crank hp, but not sure)whereas the bimmer is going to get at best 314 at the wheels (according to Turner Motorsport). However, the 335 is going to be lighter and more nimble.

This should be a close one.

Just to disclose, for me it's AUDI FTW!

Agreed the new bmw are sick but a stage 3 b5 s4 is pretty much one of the scariest animals I have come across.

I dunno... If you have seen the new euro tuner... There's a wide body 335 with just intake exhaust and chip... Had around 440 hp... plus it's brand new... I am tired of having little **** break... Honestly I would go with the 335... But I got a ride in a stage 4 s4... It is AMAZING...It's a VERY hard decision for you...

I've had an M3 for about 3 years b4 i got my S4... It was an e36... The awd from the audi didn't help all that much... i love AWD but the RWD has just as much handling and is fun to mess around with...

335! It's a BMW, it's BRAND new, chipped with Vistnu (sp) I just saw one put down 265whp & 280w torque!!!!

Of course the BMW is $50k & a very well done STG III S4 is $20-25k, so hard to compare.

I also see BMW having the turbo's bow early, they are smaller then the S4's K03's, on the track a few have "shut down" due to the engine heat. i would suggest after the chip to install a bigger oil cooler!

Now, I'm going to get flamed for saying, the BMW handles better then the S4 stock/stock.

IDK if I believe what they put in those tuner mags sometimes. I mean, 140HP from just a chip, intake, and exhaust...??? With the best brands available to the S4, we can barely muster up 80HP with those same mods. I don't know, I guess it's possible, but that wide-body 335i has to have A.) A REALLY loud (a.k.a dumped)exhaust, or B.) a couple little "extras" to make that kinda HP.

The bottom line is, you're talking about a Stage III S4 that's in the 450HP range, with AWD: Straight-line performance wise, an S4 (tuned right) would take it 1/4-mile, and MAYBE the highway. Handling, stock for stock, the BMW will defintitley win (although a Stage III should have supporting brake/suspension mods to accompany the extra power, which could make it a good competition).

Obviously the BMW is a lot of $$$, so if money wasn't an option I would get a GT kitand also mod the sht!t out of my suspension/brakes... Then I'd destroy 335i's all day long, along with a few Porsches, Ferrari's & Lambos too!
