I got back from store shut car off and it would not restart.. Battery great, all functions work but will not turn over.. sounds like I have a kill switch or something like that..

 

im having the same prob with my audi tt, cant figure it out, evreyone says it might be the timing belt, please post anything you can figure out on it, thanx, i will do the same.

 

No, not hte timing belt.

If the car does not turn over - started is probably not getting power. There might be starter relay or solenoid on the line as well. See wiring diagram in the manual or try to see where the large wire from the battery goes. Could be bad connection on the battery!!! The ignition will still operate but as soon as you crank it does not work. MAke sure battery is also well grounded.

If no use, I would plan on buying a new starter. Or getting the old one out and trying to see if it works or not. Actually I bet if you try you can hook up the 12volts to the staerter motor while it's still in the car (make sure you disconnect the battery from the car though so it wont start on you.)
