I was curious if the heated seat element is standard in all Audi's and they just add the switches for them if you get the heated seat option. The reason I ask this is because I know there are other auto manufactorers that only produce the heated seats and add the switch to basically activate the feature.

Or do the seats have to be replaced to get this option?

I know the seats in the S4 are alltogether different from the others. I'm not sure if they have the elements already installed regardless of the cold package - good question.

 

will heated seats still work over the years, i know some heated seast will stop working after a few years.

 

I don't know if there's any historical evidence to support the issue either way. Mine work very well - sometimes too well!

both my heated seats still work and mines a 99, on my 97 jeep the drivers heat warmer broke, prob bc the car had 225,000 miles on it......it was my dads daily driver
