I've got a 2006 A3 with the base "concert" CD player stereo. I'm going to add an ipod connection - any reason not to go with the cheapest that I can find of these? They all charge the ipod, and let you control it a little with the steering wheel controls, right?

 

so i have the same car/issue. did you ever install a kit? are you happy with it?
i just bought a 2006 A3; single CD player (says "concert" on it), SAT system is installed. no cd changer or nav system.
i need bluetooth to stream my music from my iphone, and a hands free phone system (how does the steering wheel system function?). and maybe an auvillary unit for other MP3 players.
i'm looking at gateway 5, or GROM.
hard to tell exactly what kit i need - might have to pop out the radio and look at the wiring.
