Default V8 in a B5

Does anyone have any sort of write ups or articles on V8's in the B5's. I know the new V8 has been crammed in there a couple times over. How well does that clutch fit? What axles are they using? I'm it the process of putting an LS1 in a BMW e30 and I just can't help but imagine rescuing some poor old 12v and dropping an LS1 in there with the new B7 clutch for the all wheel drive. It would need an adaptor plate for the clutch, yes I already know. Now I'm looking for some actual information and help saving me time with research. I know it can be done so please no ignorant claims about "this isn't a honda, it's not like legos!" Go flame some where else. For the record honda puts out some nice stuff. I know that a lot of stupid people do stupid stuff to hondas but I've seen some pretty bad Audis as well. The new F20C (S2K) comes with all forged internals. Stock motor with GT35R puts down 450. No tear down. Anyways, I also realize some of you are going to have problems with the idea of a GM motor in a Audi. Show me an Audi motor that weights 400 lbs fully dressed, puts out 350/350 stock, can take up to 10 pounds of boost stock, (I've seen 700 horses on 5 lbs boost from a supercharger, intake, other bolt ons, and tune), or you could just get cams and an intake and get what say 450 470 easy, and still gets 30+ high way MPG. Oh, and you can get a motor with 10K miles for around 2,000. My buddy just bought one for is e36 with 38,000 for 800 bucks. Put that with all wheels drive. Drool. If that doesn't make that thing between your legs get hard go flame someone else.

You really should be in talks with 034 since you so badly want a differnt engine in your car. Think Javad or someone else there should be able to help you

I dont. I still think you should go with the vr6 setup and turbo it.

I have decided to not mess with my daily driver. I bought a 85 318. Lightest bimmer ever made. And I'm pretty committed to putting an LS1 in it. I have the car + engine so...Then today I found a 98 A4 for 900 bucks. So now I'm looking at that and the LS1 I have in the shop like huh. I know I have seen the B7 4.4 in there. How much work really was that? So here I am. VR6 has already been done. Plus the work they put into the O34 VR6, I feel like that much into an LS1 in a B5 would be sex with 4 rings on it.
