3.2 quattro love?
Is there a reason I am having trouble finding a lot of posts about the 3.2l? I have an 04 3.2 quattro, and it seems that just about every post is about the 180 and the 225? no love for the 250? I believe (and correct me if i'm wrong) that the 180 and 225 are both turbo, and the 250 is N/A, so the info wouldn't be the same between the three? For example, i just went through the sticky FAQs, and seems to be only info for the 180 and 225? Is there somewhere else I should be looking, or is it just that no one cares about the 250? or can info for the 225 be applied to the 250s? sorry for ignorance, only had the car about a week, and been looking around here for a few days..
Probably because the people that own the $40,000+ 3.2L TT don't need to DIY or care about mods.
What is it you want to know about your vehicle? Your engine has a lot more potential then the 1.8T does.

3.2's are not as common and not as popular to modify because the naturally-aspirated/non-turbo engine does not dramatically respond to modifications like the turbo 1.8 platform does. You won't find very much 3.2 specific info on these forums, is there something in particular you are looking for? ECU chip's to increase horsepower for your car are available, but you wont see a 30hp gain like the 180 and 225's will. Be consoled by the fact that you are rockin' the best stock bumper and rear valence out of all the TT variants!

yeh basically what they said, the 1.8's are cheap and much more of a tuner. the 3.2 is a lot more money and can't be cheaply modified, but if you have the money the 3.2 can be turned into a monster
I really didn't have any specific questions at the moment. I like to look around and read up on problems that people have run into, and what kind of mods people have done. I figured it was becasue they aren't as popular...I am not some rich kid that can dump money on a twin turbo setup (although that sounds beastly), but i wouldn't mind dropping some money on a few things to make it look, sound and run a little quicker... intake, exhuast...i already read that a chip (for like 500 bucks) only gives the 3.2 like 15 more hp...i don't really think it would be worth it (granted with the 1.8t, its a lot more bang for the buck). I was mostly curious about what others have done to their 3.2s, and what brands make parts for our cars (good intakes, exhausts). I appreciate the replies...
I think the revo chips are only $400, then add a less restricted air filter. Shold add some decent power and sound. I also remember reading about some stock exhaust mod for the 3.2 somewhere. I dont know where but i'm sure somebody not as lazy as me could point you in the right direction.
The 3.2's stock exhaust has a feature to keep it quiet under low throttle, then open it up when floored. Some people edit it so that it's on the louder setting all the time.
For the 3.2, I'd say get an intake and a nice exhaust. Won't do much for performance, but the VR6 sounds lovely
Then do suspension and add some tasteful wheels and you have a car that's reasonably quick and looks/sounds good. Could get a Haldex controller too I suppose.
For wheels, I vote BBS CH's:

Those are for sale. $3000 for wheels, tires and suspension.
