Default Boost?

I installed an AWE A-Pillar Boost Gauge Kit recently. The gauge was showing 15-16 psi at first on full throttle. Now I have 5-6 psi on the gauge. The car feels the same. Is it a boost leak or is it the gauge broken?

If it's a boost leak where should i check under the hood?

thanks

yeah some times they jsut pop off or get kinked and cant work right. cause you mounted it on your a piller make sure you turn off the side airbag in the a piller or you will have a guage coming at you head if you ever get hit

I like the look of the pillar gage but I can't get past the thought of being in a collision and having the airbag throw it in my face. Of course, who really wants to think about that right? I'll be going with the hvac vent gage.

Later

Edit - I completely over looked Readimag's post mentioning this already. At least I'm not the only one thinking about having a boost gage scar after an accident...but it might be cool, only it would say tsoobhaha

10 psi
10 would be high by a couple psi, more like 8

And it has been proven pretty well that A pillar guages wont be a problem in an accident. Does the piece covering the airbag hit you in the face? No. If you dont believe me look around for companys selling a pillar guages for b5's, at least one has pictures of cars with their guages and the airbags deployed (please dont make me find it for you). The airbags come out higher up and shouldnt be a problem. Companies dont like to make unsafe products, they get sued that way.

In all honesty the bigger threat to your health is that school bag or briefcase in your back seat.

If you have an A pillar A/B there will be a small plackard that says "AIRBAG"towards the top of the pillar, where it meets the headliner. It's pretty unmistakable.
