Getting Ready To buy an Audi TT
Okay I am new here and do not own a Audi TT yet. I am looking at trading my 00 Trans Am (black on black, t-top,6-speed, with just under 400whp) for a 01-05 Audi TT 1.8T QUATTRO Roadster 225hp edition. I have found a couple black on black I like. I am used to quilding car and have built tuner cars, classic cars, trucks, boats, and done many rhd conversions and motor builds. I just figured I would get a few particulars out of the way to help me decide on the car. It will be my DD as I already have a built track car. From what I have researched a chip, full exhaust, and better turbo pipeing will help the car out a lot. Prolly put it just at 300awhp. I figure that is with a boost adjustment of course. I am also guessing that the stock turbo can prlly push about 18lbs of boost and still be efficent. That would make it a nice respectable DD. If I am a lil skued on my knowledge so far please let me know. You can never have to much knowledge. I would love to be right at 350ish awhp and 290ft tq but that is prolly a strech on the stock turbo but may be reachable with just a turbo swap?
yea you wont see 350awhp on a k04 (225 turbo) and probably will stuggle to get up to 300awhp...
the turbo can get 22-24psi efficiently as well...
if you want those numbers (350awhp-290tq) youll need to upgrade your turbo
