All of a sudden my lighter socket started getting REAL hot and now it doesnt work?
It was working fine, then i noticed if i put my finger near it i could feel it was real warm and when i touched the metal it was pretty hot, then shortly after (like a week or so) it stopped working? It lights up still when my lights are on, but it wont put out power at all.....fuse?

RE: burning hot cigarette lighter socket?????? HELP
Check the fuse. If the lighter socket is hot without anything plugged into it, check for a short.
As for your radar detector, look into hardwiring it. It's a lot neater plus you can have the detector turn on/off with the ignition.
