Default iPod/aux. adapter for 2006 A4

I'm a newbie here, so not sure if I'm duplicating. I looked elsewhere and found nothing on it.

I've got the installation of the iPod connetion in a couple weeks at the dealer and want to know if anybody else knows of a way to accomplish hard-wiring the iPod to the car's radio???

The one that the dealer will install...is this like the VW where you have 5 playlists to play off of or track song by song through your entire library?

Isthe information about the track displayed on the radio like some radio stations?

I have the 6 disc in dash factory stereo. Does this eliminate the 6 disc or does it take the Satellite input?

Thanks for your knowledge!!!

Default RE: iPod/aux. adapter for 2006 A4

It will take place of the satelite input and it is not as responsive as a aftermarket headunit will be because there are some delays because u are hooking up and aftermarket peice to an oem head. i eliminated all those problems of having to search for songs on a 1 by 1 basis what i did was replace the factory headunit and put in an alpine touchscreen double din dvd player with a full speedipod cable it works beautiful i spent about 1000 dollars but it is worth it because i had no use of the 6 disc cd change since i have 2000 songs on my ipod. So look into it if u have the cash go for it, your warranty from audi still be valid if u change ur headunit as long as u go to an authorized installation center with credited installers.
