Default Ipod adapter

Recently got an 08 A4 and i have the ipod dock/ connector in the glove box. It seems to be a real hassle to plug my ipod in and i can never seem to get it in right. Anyone know of an easier way to do it or an adapter that would plug into the part in the glovebox that would have an auxillary plug in the adapter. Any help is much appreciated

TRy radio Shak. They have all sorts of adpters. My GTI had the AU port in glovebox. If you can convert it to AUX you could run a hidden cord to the ash tray area cig. lighter. I have a griffin brand Tuneflex that plugs in and act like a stand. Hold the I pod or Iphone and charges it right at your fingertips.

Use an adapter like this first. http://www.myradiostore.com/parts-ac...d-adapter.html

That Tune Flex is a MUST.

Both of those products look nice but i was really looking for something that looked like the bottom of an ipod and plugged into the glovebox piece and had an auxillary plug on top of this piece. any ideas?

I have an after market iPod adapter that is connected in the glove box but I also have a little LCD screen right on the bottom of my auto shifter so I can search for songs. This adapter does charge the iPod in the glove box. I'll find out what brand it is and write back.

THE adapter I showed you is excatly what you need it just has a small cord on it. Then run it to the Tune Flex. Its awesome.

But dosn't that adapter plug into the bottom of the ipod? I was looking for a plug that is the female end of an ipod. I just think its a big hassle to plug the bottom of an ipod into that little piece inside the glove box.

That is an IPOD to AUX adapter which is what you wanted. Then you can run an AUX cord. Is that not what you asked for?

Ya i guess i just didnt phrase it right. I need a piece that is identical to the bottom of an ipod. Not a piece that plugs into a bottom of the ipod. A piece that gets plugged into the glove box and has an auxillary cable on this piece. Does that make sense?
