Yea, what I did was dumb. Just wasn't thinking. If the engine is salvageable, how much longer you think it will last, its at 70k now.
It was more than dumb, and Id get the idea that the engine might be salvageble out of your mind. You killed your engine, and your wallett. The sooner you understand the reality, the sooner you'll be back on the road and hopefuly thinking straight. Its pretty obvious that you dont understand how an engine works. Maybe you should buy a book on it. I know you asked to not get flamed, but this is good for you. Kind of like dealing with a child ya know?

Does anyone know the size of the socket needed to do that?
Its a 19mm socket.

Good luck. If it turns, it may be fixable.

Do you have insurance, technically that would be covered.

I doubt it. Insurance companies do thorough investigations when it comes down to claims like that. They would only determine that he was going to fast and was therefore his fault. It would have to be an act of god or something or have happend to other people too. He would have to jump through too many hoops to even make the case... When he himself has already admitted he was going to fast and it caused him to bottom out. I think what you are talking about is "technicaly" insurance fraud.

so have you tried turning the enigne or what. if it breaks loose he's good right. its not seized.

hopefully you were using mobile one synthetic. then you could just drain the engines oil out completely
and drive for thousands of miles like that. just like the commercials. hahahhhaha.

Default You must have not seen the slick 50

Come on now U should of had slick 50 in it.
Then you don't need to worry about oil ever.
That's what the infomercials used to state.
