hey i own a 98 a4 2.4l v6...iv never worked on cars befour but am keen to learn...
#1 car had bent valves from timing belt not put on in right way...fixed the valves
#2 needed oil change...done that
#3 got alll timing marks lined up right

and after i done that started it up and it idled rough for about a minute then came right so i took it for a drive round the block and got bout 300meters and then it died at the lights i tried to turn it over again but it wouldnt start and i kept trying til it seemed like the battery went flat.....so then i towed it back to mine took front end off n tryed to turn the crankshaft....stuck! wont turn either way so i started looking on some forums n just decided its probly better to just get a engine 2nd hand...so i pulled engine out and sorted a engine from a audi wreckers and am ment to b picking it up in next few days....so i got the engine out and then reassembled it out of the car and now i can turn the crankshaft no worrys it just gets a little sticky when piston 3 and 4 are up but u can stil push thru and it rotates the hole way round....has anyone got any thoughts or ideas of how i can check weather or not iv got a engine or trans problem....any thoughts are apreciated
