2000 TT 180 horse- Timing belt, window, common issues...
I have a 2000 Audi TT I just bought with the 1.8 180 horspower 5 speed. It is now at 87,000 miles and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some questions I've been googling for.
#1- It hasnt had the timing belt job done yet and I was wondering if anyone has a thread on the step by step process to do it. My friend and I are mechanically inclined but a tutorial would be easier. I realize it isnt a simple job and that dealers charge $1300 to do it.
#2- the passenger window doesnt work anymore. Are there any common issues?
#3- Are there any common problems with this year TT that I need to address before anything serious happens?
#4- I also read on here that the HKS SSQ Blow of Valves work with TT's although the recirculating ones are more efficient, is this true? Im not worry about losing a little performance for the sound of the HKS.
Thanks in advance

2 You either have a bad motor or reg. Motor is easy to install, reg is a bit more work since you need to mess with pop rivets. You can pull the door cover by just twisting the round cover on the handle, remove the bolt and rubber on the corners then lift. Motor is just 3 bolts and a plug, just make sure you dont pull the pulley off with it.
3 No more than any other TT.
4 They work fine, no different than a dv.
