Default quick questions

What are the symptoms of a bad n75 and/or a bad dv?

Thanks!

the dv honks like a goose and leaks boost. Best way to test is to take the cover and filter off the airbox and run it around the block, if it honks, its dead. Also if it releases before you shift, its dead. As for the n75, thats harder to diagnose. Its usually when you tried everything else its the problem, but that doenst happen as often as you think

How about when I push the car a little harder than normal and when I let off the accel to shift it keeps boosting and revving. Sometimes it pushes the rpm to redline when it should have cut off at ~5000. It kinda scary actually. I'm wondering if this is due to a stuck open valve?

Got a good source for n75 "J" valve? I was planning on replacing it anyway. The vag-com said it's gone through its duty cycle.

Sounds like a good cleaning of the throttle body is in order.

your syptoms arent a dv problem. its staying closed if your building boost and still revving. Could be a tb problem like ryan said. clean and adjust it and hopefully it will go away

also check that line that is on top of the throttle body...controls the actual "butterfly type" valve inside of it

The tb is controlled by electronics connected to the peddle. DBW= drive by wire.

I already cleaned out the tb. It's shiny and good as new. I readapted it using the vag-com. 1stsensor was 10.9% (closed)second was 88.5 (wot). Does that sound about right?

Big question here... Does the TT have an idle stabilization valve like all other cars? I have not been able to find any reference of it anywhere.
