Default 2 Quick Questions

1. Is it alright to run a chip with no exhaust? It sounds fine to me but I might not get an exhaust for a couple of months.

2. Is it normal for my average mpg on my dash to keep flashing between the current mpg while on the gas to -----mpg with no gas. It's getting really annoying and I dont remember it ever doing that.

Thanks as usual

1) It is fine, you wont need aftermarket exaust until you get a turbo upgrade

and 2) thats 100% normal. The way audi's are designed is that when decellerating with engine or breaks, like you are slowing for a stopisn e, or you are coasting down a hill, the car cuts off the fuel to the engine as to preserve gas. all that "---" means is that you arnt using any gas. I suggest using the buttons to select your average mileage and reset it every time you fill your tank, but its mainly personal preference. i do it because i am ADHD and i think of it as a game to get good mileage after driving like an ***.

Got the DV done with the chip, so..........ok. Thanks!!!!! I want to put new brakes, tires, coilovers, engine mounts, sway bars, control arms, tie rods and a boost gauge in before the exhaust. Now I can get exhaust out of my head and move on to a course setup.

hahahahaha, i do that to.. but i dont even have a gauge, i go through the trouble of making sure the car is level filling it up the same each time and then zeroing my trip odometer or whatever its called and then dividing the mileage by how many gallons i used and im constantly trying to get better mileage,
coasting down hills, putting it in neutral when i dont need power and whatnot

lol i tried that once or twice,

but the car is so much fun to drive, I find myself putting my foot into it constantly,

So now I am just thrilled that I can drive the hell out of it and still get over 300 miles per tankful!

So I dont even bother to try to save fuel anymore, its just not worth the loss of fun for so little gain.
