I haven't seen or tried the rear removal, but check the DIY section here or at www.audidiy.com and look up the timing belt procedure - it'll walk you through the front bumper removal (which is very easy).

Rear comes off pretty much the same way. There are a few bolts in the trunk.

what mike said ! When you open the trunk, lift the carpet up like youre going for the spare tire. On each side are two greenish bolts, (4 total) remove them and the bumper will come off. *note* after removing the bolts, you have to push the bumper in and that will allow you two disconnect the bumper cover by the wheel wells, once thats done just simply pull it off

Also while you have the rear bumper off, run some weed wacker string or something stiff but thin up the sunroof drains to make sure they are clear since this is the only way to clean the rear drains

Could you post the link for the DIY clean the sunroof drain? Or anybody find a diagram of where all of the bolts are? I have a 97 b5 and can't for the life of me find the bolts in the trunk to remove the bumper.
