Trunk won't open.

Trunk won't open.
Ive had my a4 for about two weeks, the first two days I had it the trunk opened fine but now it won't open and my key doesn't seem to fit in the key slot on the trunk. Is there a way to open through the back seat? I really need this to open for work. Thanks.

youll need to crawl in the truck from the rear seats and take apart the mechanism from the inside. happened to my car. after that my started to work again, but i still cant use my key to unlock it

If you can get it open, take off the carpeting around the locking mechanism and spray it with some wd-40. This has happened to 3 of my audi's where the trunk button gets stuck and doesn't want to work right. Spray it with wd-40 and make sure the mechanism is working correctly and there isn't anything loose and your trunk should be working good as new. All mine needed was some wd-40 on it and it has been working perfectly for the last 5 or so months.

Hmm..Is the button hard to push in or maybe does it not push it at all when you try to open it from the outside or does it push in but nothing happens? On my b5's what usually happens is the button doesn't want to push in, so I oil it up around the button and the "levers" of the locking mechanism and it works just fine. If yours pushes in but doesn't open the trunk then your locking mechanism might have fallen apart and is broken.
