Default A4 Quattro 1.8t Codes P1545 P1565

Hello i need help with my Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t AEB engine. The CEL is on, used an after market scanner and got the codes P1545, and P1565. Bought a new throttle body and still getting the same codes. I had the battery checked at autozone and they said it was good just needed to be charged. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I think when you change the Throttlebody on these engines, it will have to be "adapted" to the ECU. Any good VW/Audi shop should be able to do this. I think you have to have the VAG-COM equipment to properly do it.

Thank you dave944 i really appreciate it. By any chance would you know if i could purchase a vag com scanner myself to clear it? And if there is what version? If not i'll just stop being cheap and spend the money and find a shop.

A real VAG-COM setup is NOT cheap. Heck the OBD code reader I have was over $200 and it doesn't do anything compared to the VAG-COM equipment. However, you should be able to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for a few hours. Hook the terminals back up, turn the key on (DO NOT START THE CAR) and let it sit there in that position for 15-30 seconds. THEN turn it off. And then try to start the car. It may flounder for the first few seconds so keep it running with the old right foot. If it's still not cooperating, you need to take it to a good shop that knows Audi, VW, and Porsche vehicles.

I forgot to add at the end of my last sentence that you may need to take it to a shop with the VAG-COM tools to have the Throttlebody adapted. They should be able to do that very easily with the tool as it's more or less a plug it up and program unit thing. Should take no time at all.

Ok thanks for the info. I would be so happy if that's all it would need.
