New Member Johnston County, NC
Hi all,
I am a new member/new owner from Johnston County, NC. I picked up a 2008 A6 last week after owning a VW TDI for the last couple of years, which I really enjoyed.
If anyone nearby should read this, I am looking for a good shop in the area, though I'll be scouring the forums over the next couple of days as I'm sure there's a list by location somewhere around here.
I am having some MMI issues, which I've posted about in the tech forums, but other than that I've been very happy with the car so far.
Thanks,
sultan62

Greetings sultan62 and welcome here! You will find here all the help you need! I have my car currently on lease from DSR Leasing https://dsrleasing.com/. What is your opinion on car leasing?

Welcome Sultan62 and I wish you the best of luck with your `08 A6. 3.2 or 4.2? Quattro?
You have the MMI controls with the "self destruct" cup holders located directly behind it. Removing the MMI controls may reveal any evidence of previous spillage...the #1 killer of MMI control heads and potential cause of MMI problems. FYI, a new head unit is BIG$$ but there are reasonably priced MMI circuit boards available on certain bidding websites. We've installed a few of these at the shop where I work and they seem to function very well. Any capable Audi technician should be able replace it and clean out your original head unit with a modest amount of labor.
