hey guys this is for my freind he has a 00 s4 auto,stock......he fill his tank up 3 quarters today and then droveand his comp said he had 0 miles leftand the guage was all the way down....this has been happening for the past week......on the way home the car pudded and died in the drive way ...a hour later it started fine and drove good around the naighborhood.....whats happening?is it safe to drive

Its probably a bad fuel sender, you need a VAG COM to check to see if the cluster is malfunctioning or not.
