Default Removing Catalitic Conveters

Just wondering, if i were to remove both catalitic converters just for temp. would it hurt me or will i gain from it? except for not having good ems?

People gain from going open downpipe, so what will happen if i just go straight pipe?

for a whiel my car had gutted cats and it felt more powerful but then again it was running rich and whene ever id let off the gas while in gear id be shooting flames out the exhuast. if you dont care about emmissions take'em off since they are quite restrictive (I have magnaflows and i like them better) but rememeber on your car the cats are part of the downpipe so you need some custome work, either cut the cats off or get a custom straight pipe for the time. and get a non-fouler for the after cat O2 sensors to avoid a CEL
