I went to the audi dealer yesterday and had to pick up some touch up paint and a speaker grill for my 2001 a4 1.8T. The grill i got handed was a beige one and i handed it back to the guy telling him i needed a black one. He ran my vin again and told me the car said beige interior. I explained to him that i have all black dash, and center console, carpet and lower trim in full black. My door panels are black with the beige inserts around the handles and i have a beige headliner and front and rear seats, also a rear deck in beige. He told me audi does not do this to their cars with the two tone interior, and especially with the vin not matching that someone must have done this custom. Is this true? i just bought the car about 4 months ago but come to think of it i have not seen another one like mine. Just wondering if i'm the only one. it has the red t if it makes any difference.

 

I have a 2001 A4 with a beige interior.. I'm not sure I've ever seen one with a two tone interior. Definitely custom.

my 99 a6 has the same interior, its factory....hard to believe how little some of these techs know, and how much the people on this site do. Im new to this site, and i really admire and appreciate all of you that post so much and give so much useful information.

 

Our first A6 had the two-tone black/beige interior. Wife totalled it. Second one is all beige inside - same year too.

 

My 1999 A4 has a factory two toned interior. Pics attached.

I have same interior on my 98 a4 as above beige(tan)/black but my carpet in tan.
