Does anyone out there know where I can find a gear for the distributor on my 1990 CQ, i believe its the earlier model. The shop that was repairing my car broke it when the where trying to pull the guts out or something to repair an issue with the distributor. Its apparently a nylon or plastic gear. They claim they cant find one any where. I guess they've gotten distributors from all across the country and none of them have matched up to mine. is this part really that hard to find, Is my CQ that much rarer than the average CQ? I wouldnt think so, I've seen a few off them running around my city. Can anyone out there help me, they've had my car for over 2 and half months, I just want to get it back. So much for thinking you can trust even a german car specialist place to work on it. I'm thinking I'm might sell if they ever get it running again. I knew there wasnt a lot of these here in the US, which was one of the many reasons I liked the car, but I never imagined some parts would be so hard to find.
