Default Audi 90 Cv Replacement

i may be getting a 94 or 95 audi 90 from my buddy, he says it needs cv joints. Could anyone lead me to a place that i can get the new joints for a good price and also maybe drop a little insight on how to replace them on both sides. Even a website that explains it pretty well would be great, and help really...thanks!

Forget about replacing just the joints, you can get complete new axles for less money than just replacingthe joints and boots, and a whole lot less work and mess. New EMPI axles from Rock Auto for about $70 and you don't have to worry about core charges. Replaced mine 40K miles ago & no problems yet.

Yes, just make sure you get the new stuff and not the rebuilt, because on rebuild, contrary to what is advertised, you usually get used joints with new boots, and then wonder why they still don't work properly.

I have been using the EMPI axles on various cars without any problems, I can't really vouch for the other brands as I have no experience with them.

and also i could just use the site that you recommended "rock auto" and get the half shaft axles for a manual trans, are they the same thing that i found on here ? DriveWire - 1995 Audi 90)

because if you have gotten then from that site and recomend it, i woudl rather get them from there if "half shaft" is the same as an axle assembly. thank you sir
