Default coupe GT digital instrument cluster 4000

Dig instrument cluster workinking intermitently or not at all ... acessory lights work

resolderind the board did not solve the problem ... another possibility is a 15$ thingy called woltage regulator ... a brand spanking new digital cluster from the dealer is aprox 1100$ ... and that is all the info I have for now to those who were interested or had similar problems ... I'll post when new info is avaliable

$1100 do a search on the web since there are shops that specialize in fixing automotive electronics. Also check for Coupe GT clubs and they will be able to provide the appropriate information. If the display is vacuum florescent (VF) than it could be that the display has reached the end of its useful life. If it is LCD then it could be the connectors, Audi's have a long history of having problems in this area. Try applying some Stabilant 22A to the connectors.

Display is LCD .. as far as the connectors go there good or i made them good ... I'm 90% sure it's one or two of the components on the "mother board"
i'm thinking of converting the instrument cluster to a analog gauge one ... i would loose the trip computer but have less problems
