1990 100Q. My Oil pressure guage bounces constantly. I have no idea where to start. I've had a nasty exaust leak for a godd five months now. Could this be causing stress on my motor? Also, my power is being drained too. The battery has died a couple times in this nasty Northern Ohio winter. Thanks!

 

Most likely it is the contacts on the pressure sender or the sender itself. A very common problem on all older Audi's with oil pressure gauges. Cleaning the male connectors on the sender is a breeze but the female connector is a bit of a pain.
