Default 22" Alloys on the Allroad?? What do you think?

Hey guys, Im about to start looking for some summer rims for my new AR (feel free to suggestrims for it). I just got the car in Sept, and I figured I would throw some nice alloy 20-22" rims on it for the summer. However, I wonder how it will affect: 1) Quattro, 2) Ride comfort, 3) Fuel Economy. My concerns are in order of priority so let me know what you think! BTW I have an "02" A.R. Black on Black.Feel free to let me know what your riding on, or day dreaming about riding on.

Thanks!

Have fun finding wheels. I have had real hard time finding companies that make wheels for the AR. i would say 20 is the max. I would stick with 19's. The ride will be a little different. In the summer, you might not notice it that much. but if you put on that big of a wheel, you might want to get the vag and have it lowered a inch.

Ok, couple of questions: 1) Are there special rims for the AR? 2) What is the VAG and why would I lower it an inch? I think the ride height setting is pretty sweet as is. Thanks for the input though, greatly appreciated. Have you put any aftermaket rims on your as of yet? If so, how diferent was the ride?

I havent yet. I can only find about 10 different wheels that will fit it. The vag com is a computer you can plug in and adjust the ride height of the car. I know it has the manual buttons in the car but some people think the low setting is still too high. you can fool the computer to think that car is still sitting too high and it will lower itself. there is a write up somewhere on this site for it. The wheels i cant tell you about cause i havent done yet!
