Default air bags

When ipark my allroad on the lowest setting, after i hit the lock button it lowers about an inch. Then after about 2 hours when i go back outside i notice the front end is way down (more than normal) and the back right is lower too. When i start the car it moves up to match the back left. So three sides of the car lowers all the way down. Also when i have the car on the third level and park it for the whole night it maintains that hight. What do you guys think is going on? I've check the book and found nothing. Thanks

Default RE: air bags

I took my audi to the audi shop and they told me that all three bags are bad and need to be replaced for around $2400. I asked them if it was normal that three airbags go bad all at once, and they just srugged there shoulders and said "sure".
Does this sound normal? Anybody replace airbags before... is it hard to do?
Anybody ever have there airbags covered by an extended warranty. I bought full coverage and still they said that the bags aren't covered.
Were's a good place to buy airbags?
Thanks!
one more thing. I just called and audi ownership experience number 1-800-822-2834 to ask if there was any kind of recall on these crappy airbags and she said that all calls are recorded and if there's enough calls on a topic like airbags, there could be a recall issued and that if people had the work done before they could get there money back. I'm sure they don't care but it's worth a try. Give them a call and lets get our money back!!!

I had one of my rear air springs (bag) replaced and it was under warranty. What kind of extended warranty do you have? Was your car a CPO?

I guess it's possible that 3 bags could be bad, but it sounds suspect to me. (I mean they already said it wasn't covered under warranty, when mine was) If 3 bags were leaking, wouldn't they leak no matter what position the car height was set at?
You should have someone else check it out and have them check the compressor and the box with connections to the air springs. Theres a chance the leak could be there. Maybe have someone pull codes too.

It's not a CPO. the warranty place said that they cover the compressor and all parts, just not the airbags. That sucks!!! I love this car but don't think i can keep throwing money into it. I already replaced both turbos.

After a lot of reading I have heard that the airbags are a common issue and the way you described it are the exact symptons other people state. For some reason when on the third height setting the air doesn't leak out of the bag because the tear in the bag is sealed. The new airbags Audi install are supposed to be stronger than the originals. You may want to look into just getting the parts and doing it yourself. There are some tech guides on it and it doesn't look too bad.

I was also reading somewhere. if your really don't want to keep replacing bags. i was doing research on it and there was a guy that used A6 parts and converted to a coilover set up.
