I have a ticking / Clicking sound behind the dashboard.

It appears when I have used the indicators. It used to be a fast ticking. I took it to the garage and they couldn't fix it. Instead it now makes a buzzing noise (extremely fast ticking).

It lasts for 30 seconds or so then goes away. Fine as long as I don't use the indicators ;-)

Audi A6 Allroad 2001.

Anyone know what might be the cause, the fix?

I had the same issue. It turned out to be the hazzard switch which is part of the turn signal system. This is the part number, 4B0941509KB98.

I tried disassembling the switch and cleaning. This resolved the problem for a short time, but it came back. Replaced the switch with new part......no more clicking from dash!
