Allroad Hesitation..can you help?
Hello,
I own a 2001 Allroad 121k.. the car runs, drives and looks great, BUT at normal/slow acceleration at mph 40-50 in drive, I get a very noticeable hesitation/vibration. Especially at 45mph. I have had it looked at by Michael Galati's shop near town and also at an Audi dealer (Sunnyside). Galati's told me "tires"..which it is not, because at 45, when i let off the gas, or press down on the gas..it stops. Sunnyside says they never noticed it, but it is there, driving me crazy. So no when i hit a 45mph speed sign, i do 50 to get out of the vibration bracket. If I push down on the gas or downshift..it stops right away..is this lag? The car is very smooth other than 40-50 mph range. Under moderate to heavy acceleration there is zero hesitation. I am tempted to take it back to the Audi dealer and just make the Tech ride with me so they can see what the heck i am talking about.
Does anyone have any good information on this problem? Remember..it does have 121k on it. All routine maintenance has been done and all records have been kept. It has not missed a service.

I would like to clarify that Galati's shop was correct in the car needing a road force balance for the tires. but that did not correct the problem I continue to have. I just wanted to make that clear.
no, I don't think it is normal either..lol. That is why I am asking
. There has got to be a Tech that has delt with this in the past. Or at least have some knowledge of what it could be. I would hope
