Faulty N80 cansiter purge solenoid
Hello allroaders....Sorry been a while....but ...car has been great...no problems till today. Does anyone know where the N80 caister purge solenoid is located? My check engine light came on today, the code was p0441. I looked it up and it stated the solenoid or a vacuum line was bad. I checked the gas cap and it looked fine but i may replace anyway cause my car is 8 years old. If anybody has been down this road and has feedback i would be very thankful.
No idea where the solenoid is located, sorry. I'm glad to hear from someone who lives where I used to and still have family. I have relatives in Brewster, Orleans and Chatham. Have you lived on the Cape long?
Hello Ky allroad ...Well my wife was born and raised on cape....ptown to be exact. We have been back for approx 5 years. The Costa name is on my wifes side. If you've ever been to Capt Elmers restaurant in Orleans, thats the family line. Sounds like you have a simalair car. Ours is a 01 with tip. GREEN. It has been great with its own personality. The current problem turned out to be nothing more then a fuel cap. The check engine light went off today. The day I got the code i checked the fuel cap...cleaned the cap and area. Its been 3 days and BAMMM today was the day it went off. I'm sooo happy i dont have to spend any $. around here there is NOBODY to fix these cars. I have a guy 2 hrs off cape that does big stuff and a local guy that does oil changes. We love the car and its in great shape sooo the longer we can keep the car , the better. It has a couple of problems that we live with and its fine.
Hello back, glad your ride is acting better. I used to go to a mechanic (can't remember his name) in Orleans his shop was in the industrial park near the skating rink. He was pretty good, but when I went to him I had a crappy subaru wagon.
I don't know if you've ever heard of Eager Beaver Tree service but thats my uncle. If I ever get back to the Cape I'll have to check out Capt Elmers.
