...the possibility that the timing belt has not been changed at 116k miles?

The Carfax report shows 2 owners, first one drove for 35k miles, second one drove up until 250 miles from current ODO reading, where it was sold at auction and appeared at a local dealer. The maintenance appears consistent, with service at Audi and VW dealers. Clutch start switch replaced, radiator replaced, plugs, etc. No mention of clutch itself OR timing belt replaced, is it possible that the owner could NOT have replaced the belt even though the history shows regular oil changes at Audi dealers?

I suppose anything's possible. Is there a way for me to determine if the front end has been removed for the timing belt service?

Also, no history on the suspension.

I'm seriously considering this car because of the 6-speed, thinking I can deal with the other issues if they arise.
