The lock pin on the gas door stopped working. it is loose and does not feel connected. from the inside next to the amplifier i pulled the red cord that i think is designed to override the lock pin. when i pulled the cord it and the pin came right out, oh well it needed to be fixed. my question is, what is the procedure to remove the sub woofer box so that i can get at the gas door locking mechanism which is hidden behind it?

Which year is the Allroad? My 2001 Allroad has a broken actuator for the gas door lock pin.

 

Mine is a 2004 with the Bose subwoofer
