Default New guy on the block

Hi there. Dont own an Allroad .... yet. But will be placing an order this Saturday (I hope).

Currently own a Z4 so needed something "practical". How boring was this going to be? Bloody boring actually. Trawled around BMW (overpriced), Vauxhall, Ford, Peugot, Renault (Yawn yawn).

Then went to Audi dealer, wandered round the forecourt, and yes, nice looking cars. Went inside the showroom slightly more upbeat and saw this thing. It looked like a 4x4, but sort of looked like an A6 as well.

Now being something of a petrol head, it was with some embarrasment that I had to ask the salesman what it was? It was of course an Allroad. I had never heard of it. Where had I been all this time? We chatted, I got more details. I wandered over to the new A6, liked that but my head kept turning back to the Allroad.

And then my wife uttered a magic spell, the words of which were "It is a nice car". Thta was it. I was going to have one. So I have been reading the literature, reading the reviews and have now found this forum. Excellent.

So my first question, which someone out there may have an answer to. Oil burner or ozone destroyer? My head says one, my heart the other. Any opinions?

Is this mainly a US site?
