Default Questions--Questions--Questions

Hello everyone--------

My wife and I just traded in a Subaru Baja for a 2001 Allroad 2.7T and I have a question or two.

With 56k miles on the car, what type of service should I have done that would be good preventative maintenance?
Is there anything particular I should look for with respect to the suspension--maintenance or otherwise--to make sure its all up to par.
Same question for the drivetrain..(we have a 6m/6k drivetrain warranty thru the dealership)
Is there anything special to know about the diffs? Recomended fluids? Recommended engine oil? I have no idea whats in it now, but is it too late to switch--then again..I guess thats a dumb question considering I dont know whats in it

Thanks a lot.............

Scott

Hey Smedley, welcome to the forum. You should probably start thinking about getting the timing belt, water pump, etc changed before 70k miles. They are known to break and cause a mess of your engine around that mileage. Are you planning on switching to a synthetic oil?

Thanks for the quick response.......

AFter owning a WRX for the past 2 years, I would certainly swap to synthetic. I have been using Mobil 1 5w30.
Would you recommend anything different?

Scott
