Default Rear Shock Replacement. Need DIY Advice

My 2002 Allroad has a knackered rear shocker and I'm hoping to fit a replacement myself. Would appreciate any advice before I attempt the repair such as.... will I need any special tools? will the suspension ECU need resetting? should I do both sides even though only one side has failed? Any upfront advice would be appreciated. If you've done one before and you live near Altrincham, would you be interested in doing the job for cash? I have a fully equiped workshop with hydraulic swing arm lift.

Thumbs up

You can buy air suspensions (and the air compressor) from Arnott http://www.arnottindustries.com/
In 2009 I got all four air suspensions and air compressor replaced, and nearly two years later no leaks at all.
So you could just order and fit them youself.
Without Arnott, many of us with air suspension vehicles would be in a right rut.
