My uncle is thinking about buying an allroad. Waht do u guys think about it? Anthing he should know before buying? He doesn't know about which engine yet so which do u guys like the best and y? I heard there is a 2.7T for an option. He would be buying this new. Tahnks for all ur help.

 

I chose the 2.7 for our purchase, mainly because I never expected to tow anything. The larger engine doesn't add much to performance unless you need the torque to tow or live in serious mountain country. I haven't chipped but from what I've read it seems that the 2.7 engine is chip-able (since it is similar to the earlier S4 engine build), I have no idea about the 4.2 - does anyone know? I also noticed that the resale market seems to prefer used 2.7T's.
